This is a mint condition reprinted copy of the December 1953 first issue of Playboy Magazine. This reprint was available in limited quantities (20,000 copies) and became one of the most sought-after Playboy collectibles in history. It is an exact replica down to the type of paper and ink used, as well as printing method. There are only two minor differences between the reprint and the original to prevent deception: 1) the reprint has 3 staples in the spine, whereas the original has only two and 2) the reprint has a black rectangle in the upper-right corner of the magazine, while the 1953 original has a black square box. Everything else is identical to the original issue.
